Meet Sarah Wood González

CEO & Founder of About Town

Sarah Wood Gonzalez’s unique background in finance, start-ups, and editorial informs About Town’s strategy and ability to work across industries—always with story-telling at the center. Sarah began her career on the trading floor of Goldman Sachs then moved to work directly for the Chief Strategy Officer as deputy Chief of Staff. She later led content and ops for four years as COO of a Series A tech start-up.

Sarah launched About Town in 2024 when she realized the work that she had been doing with founders and friends to help them clarify their story worth telling and realize their fullest potential was the work she wanted to spend her whole life doing. Sarah’s greatest strength is seeing what can be—and this makes it incredibly exciting (and rewarding!) to help creators, founders, and investors become the truest version of who they set out to be.

In addition to About Town, Sarah is also a style and culture writer with bylines in The New York Times, Vogue, Financial Times, Condé Nast Traveler, Architectural Digest, Elle, among others. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
